Chang v. United States

Lobo v. Department of Justice

The denials were based on the finding that Lobo had not proven he contracted pneumonia in the line of duty. The Bureau's Director emphasized the lack of evidence showing that Lobo caught pneumonia at the jails where he worked, despite acknowledging that Lobo was permanently and totally disabled due to pneumonia.The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit reviewed the case.
